i read the review and saw the incredible rating, so i had such high expectations from this album, and i just don't find it exceptional.
not bad, just not amazing

i finally 'get' crooked rain and i'm floored.
when a band does something incredibly different, but makes it sound 'normal', it's very hard to fully appreciate what's going on unless it's explained
