I'm not quite sure, but I believe it was sometime in the last few days. According to various sources of mine, fanatical girls did something to get his girlfriend to break up with him. He took whatever and (I think) overdosed. I'm sure he'll be fine.

Holy crap, I hope he's okay. He's one of the better songwriters of today, IMO.

Their lyrics are self absorbed, pretensious whiny crap.

and every flavor of the week/month/year has a strong fan base, until that fan base grows up and realizes that there's music out there with WAY more to offer than a catchy chorus about breaking up with a longtime girlfriend. I'm not indie, and I don't put down all mainstream. There are mainstream bands out there that will be timeless. ie: the Rolling Stones (despite the fact that Mick Jagger is a hack) among others. But FOB will die with time. When the emo-flavored-rock trend fades, they'll either change their stylings entirely to keep up with the trends, or they will split and fade away. They are an AVERAGE band. And they play shamelessly poppy music.

thank you tenfootbrett. you are a wise man indeed. but the thing with him trying to kill himself proves my point that they are stupid emo ppl. you dont see me or most other ppl committing suicide just because a gf breaks up. thats why most bands choose not to have gfs when touring cuz its too hard(or theyre already married).

I thought it was good at first, until I noticed I was skipping ALOT of the tracks on this CD. I liked XO and Get Busy Living Or Get Busy Dying as the lyrics are pretty hilarious aimed at screamo bands. But still an enjoyable album, definitely NOT a 5 star album.

So I like this band. They make very catchy fun music, Patrick's vocal delivery is very good, and the lyrics can be very good at some points.

A band is not classified by it's lyrics, Fallout Boy is not emo just because they sing about girls/breakups a lot(Honestly how many bands do NOT sing about that anyways?). Fallout Boy IS pop-punk and I think they fit it very well and they don't try to be something they're not.

I have a feeling Fallout Boy will be around for a lot longer than most people suspect.

I agree with Societ Sellout, Fall Out Boy IS a pop-punk band. Their lyrics sound as if they COULD be emo. Listen to "Take This to Your Grave" that is definitely NOT emo. TTTYG is the FOB I came to like, so as long as they don't get too big-headed I will pretty m uch always like them.

You know what? I love you for saying that. This is the ONLY true statement i've heard so far....out of all of the reviews i've looked at.

But that's what they are there's nothing at all special or different about Fall Out Boy.There just another Good Charlotte or Sum 41 pop punk band who are gonna rule MTV and be on every teenage girl's wall until the next pop punk band come along.

I would say something original if they were original. But their not their just another disposable pop punk band.If you like them it's OK i find nothing wrong with that but it's just them.

ive been on this website 4 a while and i couldnt bleev i hadnt comented on this CD yet.

The main point about this album is that you should not listen to it whilst playing a game or else that is all you will remember when listening to it (damn you mercenaries)

Decent album tho no song can beat Dead on arrival.

Best songs 'sugar were goin down', 'nobody puts baby in the corner' and 'dance, dance'.This Message Edited On 09.18.05
