His best album and with some of his best tunes.

Shred almost never get better than this. Skill but still a lot melody and phrasing.

Arguably Satriani's best record.
All songs have a very cool vibe but the title track is the highlight here.

yeah, this is why you should incorporate guitar playing into songs rather than the other way round

There was a period like 7 years ago when I was obsessed with Satch. He ruled then and still does. Especially his chrome dome.

This was probably the first "guitar album" I heard, probably when I was about 12. Then years later I got to see him live when he opened for Thin Lizzy and Deep Purple.

Ah, high school.

fucking Satch is the kingdom of the realm of the country of fun shinstrumental rock, displaying his brutally erotic chops with gusto and a fun-filled verve. The first five tracks are very very strong, which I think holds a good album together, my favourite is Ice 9, cool sound!!

He isn't boring live at all. Seen him with Deep Purple and Think Lizzy, he rocked. His Live in San Fran album sounds better then his studio recordings...

Definitely not boring.

Brought electric guitar virtuosity to the fore. Love joes mix of shredding and pure tone and musicality. For me joe is the best of
them all.

this album really deserves a review that isn't a track by track listing...
