This album starts so damn strong. It trails off a bit towards the end though which is really unfortunate but because the first 7 or so songs are so strong, It doesn't really matter.

This album is so under-rated along with the first album. I Never Came is in my opinion QOTSA's best song. I think it sounds a lot different from everything else and that is why I love it. Please tell me what generic rock you are listening to, because I want to hear it. I think that this is there best album, Rated R might be a little better. But I really don't under tand what everyone loves about SFTD if it weren't for Dave Grohl the album wouldn't be good at all. Besides a few really great songs it just seems like a lot of filler to me.

SFTD is amazing, although I agree this is incredibly under rated, in fact I was blasting this earlier today. Killer scene is incredible, so much character to that song.

It really is too underrated to reiterate that fact. I think it feels like a hazy, psychedelic walk through the woods. Too much harkin' on Someone's In The Wolf, that song owns

A lot more like the old QOTSA. Kind of a regression to their older stuff after the breakthrough record that is Songs for the Deaf. "Lullabies" is myy favorite from them by a long shot though.

Deserves a re-listen. "This Lullaby" "Medication" and "Little Sister" are fun, but they never made their way onto any radio setlists. Shame

album = good

Any QOTSA album released after 'Songs from the deaf' seems to be boring as a whole, yet here the structure of songs such as 'Little sister' and closing 'Long slow goodbye' suggest the band have matured since their stoner rock heyday.
