I love this band and especially this album.
I see those comments are from a few years back, but I have never made a comparison from Labonte to Cruz vocally, tho. I don't hear that at all.

Guitarwork on this is some of the most technical and shreddy of anything Punk. Pretty much the most Metallic sounding any Punk band can go before becoming Hardcore.

True. Have only found a few bands that can compare to these guys in the genre.

Propagandhi and Death By Stereo are the closest I can think of

Propagandhi [2] and my other is Wilhelm Scream. And Thrice's Illusion of Safety can about keep up with this, too.
Belvedere can get some pretty sweet guitar shit going on, too, but they have more of a PHxC blend with their sound, and Bayside's guitar work is awesome, but they are more straight pop punk/alt rock. Slick Shoes last album Far From Nowhere is wonderful blend of technical pop/punk. None of these bands really have the metal vibe that Strung Out has, tho.
Not familiar with Death by Stereo, but sounds interesting. I will check it out.

Illusion is Post-Hardcore not really straight Punk with Metallic influences like this one.
Best Death By Stereo is Death For Life

I dunno, I haven't really thought this needed a remaster. I did pick up the remasters of their first 3 albums when they released those.
The only one of theirs I haven't heard yet is Blackhawks over LA. Everything I have heard has been at least 3.5 for me.

Blavkhawks is the weakest out of their 2000s work but it still has good tracks like Letter Home and Party In the Hills

I actually just found a used copy of American Paradox recently. It has been my least favorite out of their discog so far but was still a good listen straight through.
Hoping to come across Blackhawks somewhere in the near future. Randomly finding AP like that gave me a little bit of hope I may find it from the couple of music stores I frequent.
