Well, as I have stated in many other AFI reviews, the band is great, but this album goes waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy down the list. Not 5/5 for crying out loud!!! 3.5/5 I'd say is better. Anyway their best album must be The Art Of Drowning.
Ps: They are not emo. What emo band would name theirselves A Fire Inside ???

I thought the review was good, and if you dont like AFI than dont comment on its review! this is a great album and i'd recomend it to anybody, even if your not already an AFI fan.

I love AFI, I have all the albums, and this one is probably one of my faves, along with AOD, I can put this CD on and listen thru multiple times, I got it the day it was released and it still hasn't gotten old. AFI is one of the best bands out there, they are all great musician's and they are so tight musically, when I saw them live it was intense, and again they are so tight. AFI is kick ass, buy this album, it's one of the best

This is a great album but if you listen to say Shut your mouth and open your eyes or any other earlier albums compared to sing the sorrow they are a much different style of music from being very upbeat hasrsh fast punk to rocking poppish sad lyrics there are quite different but im am not saying anything bad about either of these these are very good in whole and hope you buy and album

5/5? Come on. It's a good album, but it's certainly not an excellent must-have album as the rating implies.

almost all 5/5 for every song!? C'mon man.

This album seems very average to me, so I would have to give it a 3.5. Some of the songs are very good, but those are few.

I like this cd, but its just its not as good as there old stuff

Good review - I like this album a lot, but I wouldn't quite give it 5 stars. That said, this is an impressive record that represents a musical maturation for the band, not a "selling out" like I have sometimes heard. Not a classic (as a five star rating implies) but an album certainly worth having. 4/5

yea too many 5 stars...
IMO death of the seasons is better than almost everything on there that definitly desereves a 5

That made me laugh harder than I have in weeks. It's a pretty damn good album, but the slow songs, as is the standard for AFI, are repetitive, and Davey's voice is awful for slow stuff.

I'm actually a pretty big AFI fan and in my opinion this is their best work. I still think that they have a long way to go before they can be considered a classic in or outside of their genre but it's still an excellent album and one you should look into if you're into this style of music.

death of seasons = best song on album. ...but home in nowhere is also one of the better songs too. i cant believe how someone could ever say that afi is emo. this is a good album, not AFI's best, but still good. ok review, you gave too many 5/5's though

I can understand people calling AFI emo. Davey Havok is a goddamn freak with makeup and weird clothes and spikes and junk. I mean, that doesn't mean they're emo by any stretch, but they certainly dress in "emo" fashion.
and the song with the word "Sunday" in it out-asskicks Death to Seasons. (Or is it Death of Seasons?). Whatever. It's a pretty solid album, and I must say, I like it better than alot of older AFI. for a few reasons. One of which is the poor recording quality and production on the old stuff.

AFI is one of my favs- my favourites songs are Silver and Cold, Death of Seasons, and This Celluloid Dream!

I love AFI. My only turn off on the album was the computerized stuff they used on some of the tracks. But this is one of about five albums that has truly amazed me musically.
