Same. The riffs on The Funeral Portrait and title track also could be played for all of eternity and I would be happy with that.

do it, it's pretty easy yet you will feel like a guitar virtuoso after. Even the solo is easy, no sweeps

I like that there is no sweeps. I've still yet to figure out sweep picking. But yeah, I will definitely give learn it. The riffs looks so fun and satisfying to play.

Since I bumped watershed I thought I'd bump this one up too. I rechecked The Funeral Portrait and decided it was necessary.

Amazing band.

Obviously amazing music but the thing that always wins me over with opeth is the vocals. I'm pretty picky when it comes to vocals in metal but Mikaels growls are just fucking unreal, not to mention the heavenly cleans.

Yeah Mike's vox are HMMMMMMMMMM!!!! Agreed.
This was my fave forever in my early-getting-to-know-them phase, but it is now middle of the pack for me. Not because it isn't good, but because there are quite a few even better ones.

Still slayz but also one of the most overrated albums of all time men.

Yeah but it has The Leper Affinity, Bleak and The Drapery Falls.

Album Rating: 4.5
I sometimes think that but then I spin Leper Affinity or the T/T and I'm like "fuck". Even Bleak and Drapery Falls still blow me away all these years later
