Good Job on the review,The best that opeth has to offer

This is my first Opeth album and is totally brilliant. Every song is good, the heavy songs e.g. the title track are scary as hell and make me wanna hide under my bed, while the soft songs like Harvest and Patterns in the Ivy are incredible and hypnotising and even my mum likes them, which is pretty scary.
What Opeth album should I get next? any suggestions...

Get Still Life next. Then Morningrise.

I still think this is their best album.

I think Still Life slips past it to claim victory. And Morningrise has the best riffs of the albums, but isn't the best overall album.

I never got into Still Life.

Oh good golly. It's wonderful stuff. Even moreso than Blackwater. I like the balance of heavy to light better, as it has more of the acoustic-y type stuff. Also has Face of Melinda, which owns hardcore. This Message Edited On 08.23.05

Katatonia and In Flames, perhaps? I actually don't know about these bands, but from what I've heard about them, they're similar to Opeth.

Finally after reading this review I checked this cd out and have come to love it. What other cds by Opeth do you recommend as well because I am just amazed by this band.
