Well The Division Bell wasn't a bad album in itself. Neither was A Momentary Lapse Of Reason.

They just didn't live up to Pink Floyd's reputation, that's all. If they'd been released under a different band name (and due to Waters' departure, they probably should've been), they'd be much more highly thought of.
i REALLY just dont like a momentary lapse in reason
its just too..... i dont even know i just dont like it really

but good review man

well u dont give a undeserved rating just because you dont think non genre fans will like it, its a 5/5 no matter what, you see rap albums get 5 'mics' in the source, but i hate rap, do they take that into consideration, no, in my opinion this is the finest album ever, its hard to believe but its better than wish you were here. dogs and pigs are some of the finest works of music i have ever heard and roger waters is truly a genius.

One thing that you didn't mention in the review that always strikes me when I listen to Animals is the synth work in "Dogs". The sound of barking and howling dogs is all synth. Pretty impressive

Yeah, this is my favorite pink floyd album too. I just don't see what the hype about the wall and dsotm is all about. ...and I thought I was the only one who LOVED this album. It speaks LOUD... the ending riffing of Sheep is just simply genius, that's what got me to get this album. No regrets.

animals are my favourite pf album too, but i'd agree they're not much of a team effort (like dsotm for example). the only thing that bothers me about this record is the way the drums are recorded/produced and played (i've never been a big fan of nick mason). but still i'd give it 5/5

This is a very dark album of Pink Floyd , but also very great . I , personally , don't really like the atmosphere of this album - so that is what making me to prefer DTSOTM , WYWH And TW over this album . But it's still a great album and i enjoy listening to it every time .

got this the other day and this is a new favorite. Dogs is a great song. I love the part at the end where roger sings who was _______ (fill in the blank). I think this is better than the wall IMO. 5/5

In my opinion this album is a little bit boring.

I really prefer DSOTM and Wish You Were Here , and other albums . But on second thought , i don't think that "happy" music would have been better , because the whole album is like a protest again the sociaty , so you must make the "real" atmosphere .

Dammit , i really don't know how to express myself right in english .

Floyd's second best album, just behind Dark Side.

What an amazing album!

Pigs (Three Different Ones) is fantastic, especially the melody...'Ha ha...charade you are'

Dogs also has a great melody and some of Water's best lyrics.

Ive never really liked Waters, considering he has the weaker voice, and took too much control of the band, but this album's lyrics, ideas, and vocals (water's is perfect throughout) has definitely raised my opinion of him

Great

Great album definitely. But I don't understand at all how you can think it's better than Dark Side of the Moon or Wish You Were Here...

I still consider Dark side their best work... not that I've heard it all. I won't rate this one just yet. Have only heard it like twice.
