Even Bathory's debut album sounds as unholy and sadistic as any other black metal band still making music today. Listening to this album late at night will probably either give you weird nightmares or make you bang the head again and again. That said, whilst the production obviously isn't the best, it is more than made up for with Quorthon's consistently brilliant songwriting.
