God, I love the Floyd, but always disliked this album. In my opinion it walks the wrong side of the line between 'psychedelic' and 'childish'. Parts of it are just embarassing, Barrett can't sing, and the best bits are the Gilmour/Waters instrumentals.
I don't wanna rant, but it annoys me how Syd Barrett is held up as some kind of musical god, when Dark Side, Wish You Were Here and even The Wall are all better than this. Shallow.

You can't overdose on LSD, well you can, but you need more than anyone can afford to buy. I give you a neg for that.
Educate yourself before making those kinds of claims.
Syd Barret did a lot of acid, and his underlying mental illnesses caused him come undun.
