Okay, this album totally grew on me. Classic as anything else Floyd ever did, just in a very different way.

Interstellar Overdrive and Third Stone From The Sun by Hendrix are the two trippiest songs ever created.

Flaming is like the most underrated song ever. Maybe the coolest lyrics ever too.

nice review.... but, man..."Syd was fired from the band after overdosing on LSD"?

first off, you cant overdose on Acid. it's non-toxic. there has been no record of any human overdose. you would have to take literaly thousands of hits. and even then, you'd probly just fry for months.

also, Syd became unstable because he already had mental illness, but the LSD intensified it. They couldn't work with him (on stage), so they hired Gilmour. they still wanted Syd to write songs, with David playing live, but eventually they had to get rid of Syd (that rhymes).
Great album and review. Just thought i'd point that out tho.

IMHO , Extremely uneven album,
Astronomy Domine, Pow R. Toc H & Interstellar Overdrive are excellent.

As much as I respect the living daylights out of Syd, this album doesnt do it for me. I spin this the least.

This may sound kind of wierd, but I think that Bike sounds like its like somebody stalking or raping something. Straaange.

Good review. A really interesting album.

This could definitely be a 5 very soon. I've been listening to it for 2 years and thought it was pretty average minus a few songs but I've really grown to love every song on the album. It has become one of my favorite records to listen to all the way through recently.
