i like the wall and tfc (a lot) but i can't help but be mad that waters started pushing the boys out of the picture
they were still in their prime and could have easily put out some more dsotm/wywh/animals quality albums
plus the lack of musicality as a result of gilmour/wright being pushed aside is obvious and it doesn't even sound like pink floyd for the most part at that point
it's a fuckin travesty really

it went both ways. there were so many recording sessions after animals where roger came prepared with new material, and asked if the other guys had come up with anything and they either had nothing or just procrastinated.
but there was some pushing on his end too...it's a complicated drama, and it's way in the past. I love all of them so w/e
and the songwriting on the final cut is so damn good

Today and literally after ages, I checked this album again. What a great experience, one of my
favorites from that period.

Syd the musical genius behind Pink Floyd and this masterpiece. The band went to hell after he left.
People cry saying this is not accessible and that it's hard to listen to you. Yeah, there are no commercial pop songs on here like 'Money.' This album is 100% quality, 100% unique.
An original wacky spacey record with hilarious lyrics and great vocals. There are many catchy and creepy songs with weird sounds throughout. Can you ask for anything more on a psychedelic rock record? No this is perfection.
Matilda Mother, The Gnome, and Interstellar Overdrive are better than anything from Gilmour/Waters era.
Bike is one of Syd's greatest songs. The song is so fun!
My #1 track on this album is Lucifer Sam.
This is the only Pink Floyd album that matters.

Über-beyondable!
The genius by the name of Syd gets down with some prolific musicians. Basically a solo-album with some great Musicians to transport his lucid vision in the songs.

Tragic story. But hey, his artistic star was lighting way superior in the few years he made music then in the decades Gilmour or Waters made music.
I dont feel too sad for him. He must have had some great times back then... just looking at footage of those abc-club parties... He will somehow manage to make up for his tragic psychotic loss over at recess-time in afterlife.
