The melody in The Somberlain is breathtaking. On my first spin and impressed so far. Don't think anythings going to top Nights Blood but we'll see.

The first two songs are the best here imo, and they don't top Nights Blood...so yeah. Storm of the Lights Bane is hands down better than this imo but this is still one of my favorite black metal releases.

The melodies on here are really good. Might up to 4.5 soon. I just found out his brother is in Deathstars. I also have to check out Jon's old project, The Black.

I listened to this today and it's fantastic. Very melodic black metal and the classical guitar interludes add some excellent varity.
