Suffocation is pretty cool. I like their debut, anyway. Maybe I'll give this a go.

@bach96, think Suffocation mixed with Spawn of Possession or something. I dunno, just listen and be
amazed.

Cynic is my favorite death metal band. Well, Jazz fusion/Technical death metal. And recently, they've developed a more refined progressive rock sound. So i guess it's a stretch to call Cynic death metal.

Yeah, my drummer is one of them lol.

But he is life long friends with the drummer from Immolation so it's ok.

"theyre pretty unique but i guess any brutal/technical death metal bands like necrophagist, suffocation, decapitated"

that's the thing tho, even those bands can be mistaken for any other in the field (maybe not so much decapitated because guitar tone)

you cannot mistake cryptopsy...especially this album

i think it's because Cryptopsy's songwriting and structuring is so techincal and well planned out it almost seems like classical music. that might be a bit of a strech but i dunno, it sounds so beautiful and more than just "brootal" a lot of the time, unlike bands like Suffocation or pretty much any other tech death band.

This is pretty good. Wasn't expecting such an intro. And my word, how my mother would hate the artwork.
