I still don't want to give this a classic rating, it's genius most of the time, but I can't stand the music for too long, it's almost unbearable for me, but in a good way. Every time I listen to it I'm pretty useless for at least an hour.
Hurt is such a great song, especially after all that heavy stuff before, it's one of those rare songs that really have the power to make even the severest people cry.
I just realise that I should really give it 5 stars. I'll listen to it once again soon and then make up my mind.
Though I love (or hate) this so much, I still haven't got any other albums by Nine Inch Nails. again something to put on my wishlist

I must admit Hurt is one of the only songs that has ever had the power to move me emotionally.

Along with Last Light by Converge. When I saw that live I thought I was turning into a crybaby.

I wouldn't consider myself an "Industrial Purist" but I've still never liked most of NIN's albums (with their debut being an exception). He does really well with mixing Industrial with more mainstream ideas, I guess, but I don't like it really.
