This is a little better than Sabotage for me. It has more standout tracks

I prefer Sabotage but both are awesome and somewhat underrated.

Sabotage might be the Sabbath album I've listened to the most.

Very well written review as always by Mike - I particularly like his Iron Maiden reviews - but I love this album. Sure, the first few listens may be a bit uneven, but after that, Volume 4 grows on you like any other Ozzy-era Sabbath album (except Technical Ecstasy, that is). Even a song like FX, which is perfectly placed right after Changes, which I think is a superb ballad, has its purpose. Probably my third favorite Black Sabbath album after Paranoid and Sabotage.

Excellent review.
This album is garbage. It's not just flawed because of the mediocre song writing, but because of the laughable vocalist Ozzy Osbourne.

When I'm listening to Sabbath, this is probably the album that I'll skip entirely

I can tell you just don't like Black Sabbath. It shouldn't be tough to convince you that Master of Reality is one of the best and most influential heavy metal albums of all time.

Mike Stagno just had the weirdest opinions when it came to heavy metal/hard rock, just look at his megadeth reviews!
