You should re-write this review. It's a good review, but you're way better now and I'd like to see what effect the last two years have had on your opinion of it. I can't really think of anyone better placed to review this either.
I've been considering it, but at the same time I kinda prefer to leave my crappy early reviews the way they are.
but, then again, I'm always tweeking my reviews anyways so I guess one giant edit wouldn't really matter.

Just thought I'd bring this to the front page again.
I love Nas. Hip-hop genius.

Definitely a classic record. The production is so raw and grimey, I love it.

I bought this for 3 dollars.

I love this record more than I've ever loved any rap. It will probably drop a little on my list once I get around to Aquemini and It Takes a Nation of Millions, but for now it's one of my all-time rap records. I might review the platnium edition soon.

This is not as genius as I was led to believe. I've only listened to twice so maybe it'll grow on me, but I just feel it doesn't have the x-factor to push it above the competition. Definitely great, but maybe not superb?

At first I only liked a few songs like Life's A Bitch, NY State of Mind and so on, but once you've spun it for a while everything really grows on you. I'm going to have to go with the trend and bleat about how awesome this is.

My personal favorite rap album of all time and should definitely be a classic on everyone's rap lists. Amazing. Nas' flow is ridiculous, me and my friends will listen to him when we're high (and straight, to be honest) and just not be able to comprehend some of the things he says. He's just relentless.

This review was real good, having already heard this album repeatedly(and absolutly loving every second of it, as this is my favorite hip hop record of all time and will probably always remain as so), everything you pointed out about each song was completly right on and everything i as a fan of this would want pointed out. excellent job.
I work at a record store and whenever in a conversation with people about good hip hop this is the first album i mention and the first album i reccomend them buying if asked to reccomend somthing.
Oh and i have a question for all yall, anyone have the 10th anniversary copy? I don't, i have the orignal pressing of it or whatever, but i know that the 10th ann. has some bonus tracks on there, how are those bonus tracks???

I really hope its more of a return to this kind of stuff. I'm probably not gonna buy it, but I'll give it a listen.

In my opinion, this is the best hip-hop album ever.

It maybe not very original, but: This is my favorite hip-hop album, ever. Usually hip-hop albums need some time to grow on me, but I loved everything about this on first/second listen (except for maybe Halftime, which took a few listens to grow on me)

"One Love" is super underrated.

One Love is probably my favorite song off this at the moment, that and Memory Lane are pretty much the perfect one-two-punch as far as rap songs go.

Listening to this again. Forgot how amazing it was.

Premier's work on this album is kind of bland and uninteresting. He's done better.
