The reason why people like De-loused the best, (look at the overall rating for it on the site..) is because the singers voice consistently sounded unique and near beautiful..
on this cd and especially on the last it sounds like complete shiett
Frances the mute was pretty damn good but i liked the mix of prog with catchiness that Deloused provided
Despite the quality of cedric's? voice, the album is pretty damn good actually

I wasn't the biggest fan of Amputechture but I just listened to the song Goliath and I am impressed! This is the kind of song that got me to fall in love with The Mars Volta (Frances The Mute being my favorite album) this is finally a song that has some structure! Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of chaotic jam sessions but an album that's 80% chaos (Amputechture) gets to be a bit much eventually! This song may have convinced me to go get the album.

I've listened to the first three songs on this. I don't really have the attention span right now to listen to the whole thing. Once I do, I'll give this a lesson. I mean, FTM was incredibly long and I loved it. I just need some time.
