I thought all of them were from the ghetto except Ice Cube (the guy who wrote everything).

If hes not from the ghetto then where did he grow up?

........and how come writes lyrics that make him sound like he's spent half his life in the ghetto. The name of the album is Straight Outta Compton afterall.

None of the members were even from the ghetto or anywhere near it.

I still don't understand why they talk about the ghetto even though they never grew up there..........unless if I'm missing something.

wow dude, that is so not heterosexual.

...........but how come Mr.cube is always talking about how poorly blacks are treated and all this other crap pretending he actually cares

I'm sorry if I sound like a five year old who won't stop asking questions but I just need to know. This Message Edited On 05.23.06

Does Foreskin Fondler have a learning disability or something...?
I don't like this album too much, I hear enough angry black people as it is telling me to take the burning crosses off my lawn.

I totally agree with you. Not that I have a burning cross in my backyard or anything of the sort. .
........ I still hope to get into rap someday.

To sell records.

Is this more common in rap music?

That opening song still gets me no matter how many times I listen to it. I first listened to this album fully when I first passed my driving test and I bought it to play in my car. I nearly crashed that many times I was that overwhelmed.

dont you love how people ^^ dredge an album up from the depths of the archives, with the last post being a whole month before, just to say something useless.

How is giving your opinion on music useless? Thats what the site was created for.

The title track owns so hard. The first verse is escpecially godly.

these guys are good but tbh i always thought Dre woudl have done better if he had been on his own for his entire career.

that makes me sad, if 50 cents on it it will suck, Dre IMO can do no wrong though just because of 1992s "the chronic"

One of the greatest rap releases of all time. No one had ever heard anything like this in 1989. Period.
