Arms of Sorrow is still the best, but Through the Eye of the Storm is pretty close. This Message Edited On 04.20.08

"The Arms Of Sorrow" is the only track keeping this from a 1.

It's not just metalcore. It's bad metalcore. The End Of Heartache is an example of really good metalcore, this falls far below that.

Nah, this is good. But if you don't like the sound they've made for themselves, then you won't like it.

i don't know if i'd rate the album that low...but i will say that it is a huge disapointment.... i have started to wonder if these guys are falling into a similar trap that KoRn fell into, that they have been copied so much that they feel they have to go against their instincts to sound different.... or i think its possible that the band members are so busy that the cd just got rushed, because i think the style is still unique to this band, but the songs just aren't what you'd come to expect, to quote Killswitch's DvD, "Alive or just Breathing Changed music"

good comment there 'Burnyourface'. This record is a good metal record but doesn't really hold a candle for their previous releases. Let's hope for the best with their upcoming record!

Are you seriously saying that A7X aren't generic?

They are one of the most generic bands of recent years, after Trivium of course.

While I'll happily admit they aren't that good, they're in no way, shape or form generic. This Message Edited On 09.19.08

This was definitely one of the gateway bands for me that got me into heavier music, but I see where your coming from, it does sound all recycled after a while, with the exception of "break the silence" which is still a bad ass song.

Arms of Sorrow is probably the only track off of this album that I can listen to more than once a day. Other than that, the live version of A Bid Farewell and Holy Diver are fairly decent songs. Overall, this is a pretty boring album, the song structure is generic and bland, and truthfully the instrumentation is nothing to write home about. There are much better bands in this genre that don't constantly rip off their own music...

I just re-listened to the title track off this album to confirm how awful it is.

This is a good album, but Howard does way too many high pitched shrieks. It is almost getting into black metal territory. I just

really dislike high pitched screaming. Although, in some songs i can put up with it.
