this album is gloriously layered, the European packaging is also amazing.

Second disc kicks the crap out of the first. This is a pretty good album...not best of the year, but it's pretty up there.

Does anyone know where I can hear some of these guys without buying their album? Because frankly the opinions here on this CD are mixed enough to make me apprehensive about buying this on impulse. I might still do it, though...

They don't have a myspace page because they feel it destroys the integrity of bands (I read that in their booklet for this album). I would check out allmusic.com. They usually have 30 second clips for each song (not that those samples would do this album justice or anything).

Psh... lame. Ah, well. I guess I'll listen to the samples and this will probably end up being an impulse buy. I'm music-greedy enough...

i bought this on impulse, having never heard them before. paid off! this is a cracking album. i know about half of the sputnik user base was masturbating furiously over "blessed are the bonds" by the pax cecilia not long ago (with good reason, it's a good album!) - if you liked that, there's a good chance you'll like (at least the second disc of) this.

One of the most overlooked albums of the year to add to that.

Obviously they have sold out since they have a myspace.

That is so strange because they even say inside the booklet about retaining integrity by not having a facebook page and giving people a reason to buy albums again (through their artwork in the album booklet). Obviously they worded that more intelligently than I did.

can some one please explain this " there are no incredibly vague politically orientated samples by strange men named after ex-Iron Maiden vocalists"?

Ectasian is so wonderfully eerie. Sounds like something out of a horror movie at the start. This Message Edited On 07.15.08

holy fuck album rules.

And the booklets in the jewel case are pretty massive. The two discs look pretty awesome, how one of them is transparent...awesome.

First disc reminds of mastodon, only heavier.
