Haven't heard spare the legion, ill listen to them.Horizons by parkway drive is a good album.
I don't like Howard on vocals... I know Jesse is similar but he has a little blues in him. Howard has a little too much belting in his cleans and his harsh vocals do nothing for me. That being sad Daylight Dies has some nice guitarwork.
I think jesse puts in more emotion on alive or just breathing than Howard does on any of the albums he is on,but as daylight dies is a solid 3.5.As daylight dies is a bit overproduced.
Its got the only 4 songs they ever released all for download. A Rose for the Wicked had an alternate version in 2010 where the growling and singing parts were switched besides the chorus. It is nice, but can never seem to find it.
Nice ill listen to it now.thanks man.
No problem. Its a gem, in my opinion. It is a real shame they broke up sometime in 2010. They had an album in the making that fell through.
Sounds good, have you heard horizons (parkway drive).
I'll give that a listen now, had to find my headphones.
Carrion is amazing.
That album is much better than the recommendation my friend gave me for Parkway Drive. I was under the impression every song sounded like Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em. Which admittedly isn't a bad song, but it sounds like a lot of metalcore bands (probably all copying off them).
Album Rating: 5.0
FerinusCarnifexVox could you articulate what it is that you don't like about it? I found that once my ears were used enough to the abrasiveness to sort through what they were hearing I realized that every member is quite creative on their instrument, and that the structures of the songs is actually easy to grasp. It's pretty catchy and groovy, in its own weird abrasive way. Plus I think this is some of the most emotional music out there.
I like the guitar a lot from this album, actually. They do have a groove to it, but I am not a fan of the vocalist for Converge. I feel like their vocalist in an out-of-place Grindcore singer. He should be fronting Anal Cunt, not these guys.
The drums and bass do a good job of adding to the wall of sound, which is I'm sure what they are going for to sound abrasive.
The vocals on Distance and Meaning especially piss me off, when there is a whiny kind of clean.
yeah that's parkway drives best album, deep blue is awful and atlas is decent. But horizons is very good.
yeah Jane doe is very emotional.
Album Rating: 4.5

It's their decision, not yours. No one gives a crap about your opinion, the album is almost flawless.
this is a good album.
i know i gave it a 4
that's why i gave it a 4.0
Hey TenSecondsToThink, someone gives a crap about my opinion enough to ask for it. Lelle asked me to articulate why I didn't like this album. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean its irrelevant.
The guitar is great, but I don't like the vocalist to the point it hinders the album (in my opinion).
