I think I'm gonna check this out, it's been getting a bit of hype...

Not surprisingly, I'm not sure about this. I have never been a fan of droning black metal stuff, especially when the songs are way too long.

Why are you the biggest failure on earth? This isn't droning black metal anyway, point me to the sections of this album that "drone".

actually there are a lot of parts on this album that involve lower drone notes/chords while progressions/melodies are played. pretty sure he wasn't using the phrase in a negative manner

Ahh I see, I thought he meant it was boring. But yeah there are some sections like that, and they are done very well.

@devilsown
i want to hear black metal or death metal that incorporates the use of the sitar.

I'm so glad I picked this up a few days ago. Not a fan of BM but this is incredible.

Their last album was better. I stand by that. This is too similar with not enough added.

After hearing Diadem of 12 Stars I'd have to say it's a little better. This album seems more or less like an extension of Diadem.

My main problem with Diadem of 12 Stars is that there are 2 riffs that are supposed to be transitional but are just awkward and unnecessary and they stick out like a sore thumb among the rest of the eargasmicness.

Not as good as Diadem of 12 Stars, but its still a good album. I really like the first track, it sets a great mood for the rest of the album. And the last one is fantastic as well

This one is a little too repetitive for its own good.This Message Edited On 11.28.07

Never heard of this band until a few days ago, got the album, and was rocked. The whole album surprised me, and I surprised myself by playing it over and over. This is why sites like sputnik are just so damn good for the brain.

I like this, but the drums annoy the hell out of me.

Same here. I don't have any black metal besides this and Diadem but this is very impressive.

For what I've heard this yr in metal, "Two Hunters" and Primordial's TTND have the best riffs. Crushing waves of melodic strain.
