That's kind of awesome. I would reveal my 7th but I'm too afraid to break this chain

haha, yes it is. I actually think it gets a little tricky after the top 6 for me because I feel like there's a bit of a drop off, but I could fairly easily say my next 3 would be Caralho Voador, The Last To Know and What A Day.
edit: listening right now and felt the need to bump the rating up a bit.

Yeah it's hard for me to rank beyond there as well. The one big positive/negative about this album is that my two least favorites are Get Out and Ricochet, so even though it always starts off iffy for me I love every track afterward.

good review
this is my favorite FNM album
agree about the first tracks, although they are fun too

This is the only other FNM album that has the craziness of Angel Dust, but as far as songwriting and atmosphere Angel Dust has this by a decent margin. Get Out is probably the only FNM song I dislike.

Overall this is a lot less inspired than Angel Dust but I still love it. I agree that Get Out is
pretty weak; well the verses are anyway.
Interesting interview with Trey Spruance where he talks about the recording sessions for this record

I love this album a lot but I really can't see it being better than Angel Dust greg.
that link is really really interesting. i was pretty surprised to read that Spruance didn't actually like most of this album

yeah porch showed me that before, really fascinating insight into the band dynamics during the Spruance years (i.e. this album)

on a totally unrelated tidbit of information the artwork for this was my desktop for the entirety of last school year and everyone was always like that's really cool what is that? and i'd be like oh it's the cover of an awesome faith no more album and they'd be like oh uh well yeah um that's cool and walk away. happened at least 5 or 6 times seriously.
|
| |
Yeah I have a t-shirt with that artwork on it, people comment on it sometimes and I get similar reactions

hahah dude you're lucky, I was so pissed when the didn't have a KFAD t-shirt at the show. even though it's not my favorite album by them obviously I'm really not man enough to walk around with an egret on my shirt

Evidence and Just a Man are so good.

yeah this has some of their best individual songs for sure

Album Rating: 4.0
Yeah it's almost a shame. This definitely has some of their best tracks ever but then it has like 5 songs that are just really lame by their standards. Angel Dust is better just because of how solid it is.
