It's pretty good. I quite enjoy her voice tbh. Merry Happy and Pumpkin Soup are the best on here anyways.

Great review. I like this cd a lot. It does stumble in places, but that just makes me excited for her next cd. Hopefully she'll figure out how to build on the witty lyrics and fun melodies, but also trim the redundant, uninspired sections.

Mouthwash is one of the highlights here for me, but I agree that Play is a waste of a track. Everyone else ranges from good to gold.

As far as the difference between the major british female acts, this is the metaphor I like...

Nash is the youngest sister, immature (in a good way) but still thoughtful and romantic. Lilly is the middle sister who's in college and going out clubbing all the time and she's more dance-y and fun. And Laura Marling is the older, mature, more subtle sister who has her shit together :p`

I like it, because it's super catchy. To be honest though, she's got some terrible lyrics.

in the hierarchy of recent British soul/pop/blues divas Kate Nash is better than Duffy, Leona Lewis and Lily Allen. But Florence, Adele and Amy Winehouse have it all over here

Typo: In the tracklist, it ought to be Skeleton Song, not soup. And Pumpkin soup in the second last para.

Good review overall, though
