Fantastic album, I highly recommend it, even to people (like myself) who arent intersted in her previous releases.

I actively disliked her previous releases. Should I still check it out?

I don't like the single so there's probably isn't much chance of me liking the album?

Both albums took a while to fully grow on me. Both albums are now amazing to me. The difference between Arular and Kala: Arular is now a classic to me, Kala isn't. Both great albums, and greats reviews. I found this one to be slightly better.

"Paper Planes" is really good, but I don't think the rest of this album is for me. She does have a very unique sound though. The music video for "Paper Planes" looks like she's totally out of the early 90s and combined with her lyrics, she has a very individualistic, confident, and attractive image that is really against the mainstream. At least for the moment, I highly respect her for that.
