It's pretty average; their other two releases are just so much better though.

haven't heard clients, and I'm not planning to either

I enjoy these guys, and they're called metalcore a lot but so are converge, TDEP and Between the Buried and Me, who are all beyond the mediocre symbols of the scene. However, it is true all these bands encorporate elements of metal and hardcore.
Anyway, I haven't heard this but want to now. Good review.

Just nowhere near as crazy.

Meh, this one is deathgrind with a LITTLE metalcore influence, Clients was pretty much a metalcore album and Prey For Eyes is just unclassifiable badassery.

Pig Destroyer's Phantom Limb is more deathgrind.
There's very little actual grind on this to be fair.

Masscows & co. stop acting like deathgrind is a genre.
And no, Phantom Limb is not death/grind at all. Go away forever.

Well, whatever genre this or that is, it's damn good metal.

i can't give this a classic rating though, there are some semi-boring parts on the album

For me it's just awesome for the whole time. It's a perfect length too - the ending of Sixteen Bit Fingerprint can be annoying sometimes. Three minutes of horrific screaming isn't exactly everybody's turn on.

I just fast foreward through that part. It isn't enough to drag down the rating, though.

I can't get over how stupidly good this is. Every time I hear it, I enjoy it.

When I saw them live a small crowd gathered round Guy (me included) to scream that line along with him into the mic.
It was intense stuff.
