Yeah, same here. This band (along with Arsis) have helped me get into some more death metal bands.

This album can not be mistaken as Black Metal in any way, thier earlier works were Black Metal, but they have evolved into a Death Metal stlye very different from their earlier works.

Oh man, how I love this album. One of death metal's finest moments, if you ask me.

I can't stand the vocals, like four layers of inaudible screaming. But besides that great album.

it's not inaudible though. It's thick and extremely tonal. It is truly the way vocals are meant to be done. Anyway, I think it's 7 layers, not 4.

Oh, I didn't realize that, they just seem inaudible to me I guess, then again I have trouble understanding Bloodletting by Burn The Priest.

No wonder I can't understand them at all. I didn't realize that there were so many vocal layers.

the last song is soooo awesome, and epic.

This is a great album but IMO there is some much better death metal out there.

I was listening to this album last night and I fell asleep. Then the opening part to "Slaves Shall Serve" came on and scared me shitless. Note to self: do not listen to this album when you're trying to sleep.
