Yeah, this is definitly something i would consider as one of the best albums of the year so far.

What I read was that the older album was edgier, but with a lacking production... I was curious how those songs I've come to really like would sound if they were "edgier".
Walls Of Jericho is almost completely different, great, but not as awesome as the version on this album.

But yeah, it's like an unpolished version of this album.

I think I'm starting to like some of the inter.funda.stifle versions of the songs a bit more than these. Especially "Dance Of The Manatee".

This whole album is great... I was just listening to it again today. I still want to hear the older versions of the songs.

It'll be on my top albums of 2007 when the year ends.

I know this is an older review, but they need to make this a featured album or something to get it more exposure...This Message Edited On 11.02.07

It's a Staff Pick, but basically the only other thing to do is either discuss the review/album here or have someone write another review.

This is already the third review... that would be kind of redundant for someone to write another one (although it doesn't seem to stop them)... someone should review the older album... I'll do it if I ever get around to buying it.

I guess in my last post I was just writing my thoughts even though there isn't really an answer for them.

As is The Wife, The Kids, and The White Picket Fence.

I'm so tempted to give this a 5.

If any album was to get a 5 from 2007 it would be this one, but I wouldn't rate it that yet. Album of the year for sure, though.

Yeah.

But if they had put a newer version of Orphan Anthem '86, this would be 5'd in a heartbeat.

Picked this up yesterday on a whim. Yay for good spontaneous decisions!
I'm in love with Dance of the Manatee, A Seafarer's Knot, Walls of Jericho and Upgrade Brigade.

Got this one the day it came out and it hasn't gotten old yet. They have a very big, powerful sound and listening to their music really gives the feeling that you're listening to something artistic. This Message Edited On 11.06.07

I bought this on iTunes and it came with the bonus track "A Honest Conman," and honestly that song is so good that I consider this a 12-track album now, anyone else the same way?

Definitely... that song closes out the album better then "Say When" would have (I didn't even know that it was a bonus track)...

Darroh reminds me of the lead singer of Into Eternity, when he hits the high notes. Also, his vibrato comes off as a little cheesy at times. Never the less, I enjoy this album quite a bit. This Message Edited On 12.10.07
