Midnight In America by Modern Life Is War is so much better than New Wave,and I could think of probably a dozen better "punk" albums that came out this year.

easily my least favorite Against Me! release, which is ironic because it's the first album that has produced a single that is getting commercial radio air-time. good for them I guess. overall, i was pretty bored throughout the album

I didnt think it was that bad. Some of the songs are disgusting, but i think it gets compensated for.

To be honest compared to their previous releases and their controversy of signing to a major, this was bound to not be a very good album anyway

just put this on for a spin and its better than i remember, except for stop. stop just flat out sucks.

Reinventing Axl Rose was very good. This, for the most part, is also very good. "Thrash Unreal" is a great song.

Against Me! had an amazing thing going for them in their early days -- Tom Gabel's incredible abilities as a lyricist and songwriter and the outrageous amount of passion he put into everything he did. In album's like the "Crime EP," "Reinventing Axl Rose," and "As the Eternal Cowboy" you can FEEL that passion. Every word he sings (or screams) is absolutely dripping with conviction and meaning. No longer. This album feels forced. It seems as though he doesn't mean what he's saying anymore. As a result, the music suffers. This album sounds like the standard release of any pop-punk band that knows what they're doing. That's not Against Me! Against Me! is so much better than that.

Great album. In my opinion, extremely underrated. Especially by the punk community. To pretend that Tom Gabel's pop sensibilities weren't headed this way is a bit ignorant. Great pop songs, and great experimentation with "The Ocean." In fact, "The Ocean" is probably one of my all-time favorite songs from them. I await the next album.

ill never get why a band that spends a great deal being against media outlets that just bring no good like mtv, end up going on it eventually. still a decent album. though I hope they remember who they are.

even though thrash unreal is one of favortie songs against me! has ever put out this album isn't that good, i love "axl rose" and "as the eternal cowboy". stop is easily the worst song on this album and possibly of their career as a band, but i have a love-hate relationship with it because it was the first against me! song i heard and it made me investigate them and discover just how awesome they really are and tom gabel is now one of heroes, yes, yes i may be a fanboy, as the kids like to say these days :
