Vegitarianism is good. Straight Edge is good. Cattle Decap. taught us that! Am I the only one who listened?

The guys in cattle decapitation arent straight edge. I've seen interviews with them drinking beer.
And I am a vegetarian.
IMO straight edge is stupid because you don't need to be a part of this "movement" to not do drugs. You can just say, "Hey, I don't do drugs".

Take this to the forums? We already have a discussion about it open in the Punk Forums.
And yes, you're right, they aren't edge, but they are vegitarians and that's the aspect I meant they showed us.This Message Edited On 07.02.07

I love death metal and I think Cattle Decapitation sucks.
|
| |
You also think Nile and Behemoth suck. Not saying that you uhh, don't have the right to think that, but you don't look at death metal the same way alot of people who listen to it do. I think we've gone over this before.

| |
straight edge doesn't neccesarily = veganism. it's mainly keeping away from drugs, smoking and alcohol.
|
| |
No it doesn't, and actually alot more Edge people are vegatarians rather than Vegans.
|
| |
straight edge also don't usually = vegetarians.
|
| |
I just realized you guys are all, like, 14. That explains a lot.
|
| |
How old are you, Cokey?
|
| |
16 duh.
|
| |
Explains your lack of I.D. Problem hah.

I am not digging this. Granted I am not huge into the metal genre, but I can usually find things I enjoy at least a little bit. I mean how can this tripe be considered listen-able with lyrics like, "We are nothing but a failure/Evolution took a shit/In my heart, through these eyes/Humankind in its own shit resides." *steps off of soapbox* Oh well, to each his/her own. This Message Edited On 07.03.07

I'm 17.
And what I meant before, in saying that many DM listeners consider Karma to be "damn near close to a masterpiece" (ok, it's an exaggeration, but it's good) is that most people I've talked to at shows (when the topic of conversation comes up) mention Cattle Decapitation as being among the better modern death metal bands, and saying that Karma is a "Damn good album/record".
They're usually mentioned by some of the older guys ("DM Veterans") I've talked to as well, alongside Nile, Behemoth, Hate Eternal & other "modern" death metal bands as being the better ones of this generation.
I wouldn't consider sputnikmusic to be a good indicator of consensus among a wide community, anyway.
And Cocaine, I don't see how my age would've had anything to do with your ridiculous musical elitism anyway...

I'm done with this on-going, ridiculous "discussion". Grow up.

I wasn't talking to anyone present at the last discussion.
