Holy shit this is awesome. Right up there with SOTLB. Its not often one finds a band so melodic yet so unrelenting
in their atmosphere.

I still can't believe they made this album when they were only 18 and 19 years old

My only gripe with the album was the drumming. If only they had gotten Tobias Kellgren sooner, that guy was an absolute monster on Live Legacy.

An impressive debut to say the least. The first half of the album for me is definitely much more effective than the latter half, given that there are more complex, almost progressive songs to be found. The latter half for me gets a little bit repetitive, but it's still an excellent all-round instrumental performance. The first two songs here are the highlights for me, as well as maybe "A Land forlorn".

Tracks 8 and 9 are my 2 favorite tracks behind Black Horizons and the title track, especially Grief Prophecy. That track is amazing.

This is absolutely amazing and with time I may love it more than storm.
Sounds more brutal and cold than storm, maybe even darker.
Riffs on this album freeze my soul.
