Wow, what an album. This really blows me away this album like no other Pink Floyd does, even though it's all great. I have heard nearly all their albums I think, except Atom Heart Mother and A Nice Pair and I still prefer this one.

I hate it when people say, 'Oh you clearly haven' heard Animals if you prefer this album or watever'...it's all opinions boys and there's no need to force yours on others.

In my opinion, this is one of the best five albums of all time.

good review.dark side of the moon is very instrumental, but hey, can't every band have an instrumental side?dsotm is a great album,by the way,i know it's not totally on the track songs itself, but there's a song after time called breathe reprise,it starts off as "home home again" .not totally a song but a continuation,it's still a good review and i don't blame u for missing it. i didn't vene know until a few months ago.

I finally bought this album , and i liked it , BUT it wasn't amazing , not at all . No doubt , Time is an amazing song . I also liked breathe , Eclipse and of course Money . Money has great amusing lyrics :P .
I didn't like Us And Them , in my opinion it was boring . I agree with some people who said that this is "song" to sleep with .

BTW , great review.
;P

Great album. "The Great Gig in the Sky" is unbelievably annoying.

The allure, to me at least, of DSOTM, is the single-flow album presented here, something comparable to later attempts by Sonic Youth on Daydream Nation and of course perfected on later Floyd records Animals and Wish You Were Here.

Daydream Nation isn't really a single-flow album. I believe taht The Mars Volta have perfected it.

I have just noticed lately that I used to think these songs are very compicated, but really, the playing is rather simple. Once they put it all together though, the sounds start to blend together. I mean, on "Time," the chord progression is Fm-A-E, but then you have bass, organ, and effects on the guitar that make it sound more complicated than it really is. Gilmour pwns.

times solo is still a bitch to play. I just can't make it sound as soulful as him

Gilmour has the uber-vibrato. You never will sound as soulful, sowwy.
