Hybrid Theory - Great
Reanimation - Good idea, didn't care much for it
Meteora - Good
Minutes to Midnight - Great
Open your minds dudes, this cd was damn good. Listen to it a few times. I'm hearing things like, it's just too soft, but there are plenty of songs that keep you going.
Give it a chance. You can't judge a cd after a day of listening to it.

Yeah, man. You need an open mind for watered down radio rock.

Chickenfish,
Linkin Park's new album is a cd you dont need to hear to say that it is horrible because you know what your getting. Watered down radio music always has the same feel and therefore makes for one boring listen.

Honest to god, QWERT made me anticipate this album, and then all of that was dashed and then some. I'd give my own review if I had the time.
Terrible album.

First of all, let me say that bands, especially the ones as successful as Linkin Park, trying to change their formula should have some credit. It's a risk, and not a lot of people have the guts to do that.
Linkin Park tried.... and failed. Terrible disappointment for me. There's just too much filler on this album, within the songs themselves. There are a few sparks of very good music on M2M, but they're too few and horribly misused. "Bleed It Out" could have been 5 times better if the band actually developed a song instead of turning a 40 seconds intro into a 3 minutes average song.

I finally just broke down and downloaded this out of interest. I threw up in my mouth a little when "Bleed It Out" first started playing.

They did not take a risk with this album at all. Nu-metal is a dying genre and they knew that so they made an album with the next trendy sound. It would have been taking more of a risk to stay with the nu-metal. If you want to see an example of a band taking risks, then look at Ulver.

To be honest, I don't think there was anything Linkin Park can do to make them sound fresh again. Like no matter what they put out with, it would just be disappointing.
