I find it really cool when people so young do great music.

I feel like the Satyricon classics don't get the same attention other bands from this ra. I'll never understand.

No, they're not lol. There was a time when I was more interested in this than other classics hailed here. I definitely like the medieval aspect.

Yeah this was the first BM record I heard that had all of those elements. It has held up extremely well.

It's been a while since I jammed this, like most BM staples I know, tbh. I suppose I'd like it the same/more.

Yeah, it rules. Very atmosphere, much dark.

You can hear the 1st wave influence here, such a great album.

Mandatory bump for a great old-school atmospheric black metal. Stuff like this forged the scene.

Never really dig this one but Nemesis Divina is all good things. Also agreed, band's early stuff gets overlooked [2]

Might enter my final form for Satyricon fanboyness tonight. The lo-if production adds a lot, which many records can't say. They matured well over the next few records but what a long way they came from their split with enslaved to this.

If you like Nemesis Divina I don't see why you wouldn't dig this and The Shadowthrone both bro.
