i was listening to this the other day with a blues elitist and he was like 'why would anyone make this kind of crap', to which i retorted 'it's got great beats'. then race: out came on and his face got all red and he looked very foolish with his foot in his mouth, and when he finally got it out of there he said 'good beats, yes indeed'.

Got this today. I really loved the first half but the second half falters imo.

This part is like the best half minute of music ever, the way they switch from that heavy riff to the stacatto muted syncopated bit is absolutely mindblowing. I love listening to it while stoned, it's great.

Pixies was right to call this post-math rock cause its mathy but nothing come close to sounding how they do.
I heard their single one time and thought it was shit and I watched the music video again sometime after and loved the song.
Then I listened to the new album and realized we have a new math rock juggernaut.
I also love how Math-rock is picking up in popularity and quality of releases.

I listened to the whole album baked, I knew it was gonna be an experience so I waited to get high before listening.
I also did that for MTB POI because I think it leaves more of an impression on me.

Pendulum- Slam
The Beatles- Whats The New Mary Jane?
pretty much anything from Animal Collective's Strawberry Jam
Modest Mouse- Gravity Rides Everything
The Beach Boys- Cabinessence
Jens Lekman- The Opposite Of Hallelujah
Pand Bear - Bros
Radiohead- Treefingers
Thrice- Open Water
yah, you should IM me for those songs for the sake of not filling this review with discussion

Ya whats your IM CB?
I got one complaint now, I wish the Don Cab guitarist would let`er rip a bit more during this album.
I need to see more more riffage but I think it`s just cause I`m greedy.
