"Volta is her most accessible album yet."

Not that weird of a statement. Earth Intruders is a pretty straight-forward song, so is Innocence. Basically Timbaland-tracks.

The more noisy songs really don't fit with the rest imo. Other than that, good album but still her worst... Dull Flame of Desire is an amazing track though, just brilliant

Nice, have fun with that. Medúlla is definitely her most challenging. I still don't exactly know what to think of it. I only know that Oceania is unbelievably awesome and Ancestors is unbelievably shit

Actually Medulla wasn't as bad as I thought. Thoroughly enjoyed it. This one on the other hand, it has some really great tracks but this is her weakest by far. It's like she tried to emulate some of the Homogenic awsmness. Even has a Pluto-ish song like "Declare Independence".

I thought this was going to be a 'return to form' after the first couple of tracks. Still, it's much more listenable than Medulla. Declare Independence is such a cool jam.

So what does everyone hate about this one?

I don't think there is any hate for this, just kind of an indifference compared to other Björk albums. There's just a bit of the magic missing, it's not quite as pulsating as most of her other stuff. It's also not as controversial as Medúlla. I think there's much more people who hate that one but also more that really love it. This one is ... good, but it has hardly any (if any) songs that have life-changing qualities, like, songs that you always come back to and define a whole time of your life for you. The first four had those, in spades.

Yeah, it's not really hate, it has some memorable tracks. Wanderlust and Dull Flame of Desire are Bjork classics in my book.

Yeah so far I don't mind it as much as Medulla but not much is really standing out so yeah dk
