You don`t need to be a music theorist to know that this album is not Yes` best effort. The Yes Album, Close to The Edge & Relayer are the big three IMHO.

Fragile like the reviewer stated was thrown together on the heels of Wakeman joining the band and contractual commitments forced them to realse this in it`s form which is a few solo songs mixed with some excellent group efforts.

Yeah if you are a bassist then the Fish is a piece you would study perhaps and the same goes for all the solo bits but who cares ?

Writing a review takes an effort and I think the reviewer did a very good job here.

Oh by the way, it's SKYNYRD not Skynard... yokohoma . keep hittin` those books because you need it !

IMHO this is a good, not great Yes album.

This album is so amazing. The solo tracks are my favorite part. My favorite solo track is probably We Have Heaven. I always get that freaking song stuck in my head.

I love South Side of the Sky and Heart of the Sunrise. The first time I heard it I thought it was a three minute song.

While this is still a very good album, I'm a bigger fan of Close to the Edge. The songs were more epic on that album.

Great album, but too many instrumental solo tracks.

Interestingly enough, I believe they were put on the album as filler because the money for extra studio time was put towards Wakeman's ridiculous keyboard rig.

I agree with this review for the most part. 5 amazing songs and then a lot of weird and random stuff.

I don't really find this amazing. It's pretty cool, though. Especially Roundabout and Mood For A Day.

Even though I have only heard this album I'd go with the ones Iluvatar mentioned, just because he's a smart user. Plus I think those are their biggest.

I've got Close To The Edge, which is damn good, I have to say, but my dad claims that this is their best. He's quite a big Yes fan, actually, I've got into a number of bands thanks to him, and he's shown me what are now some of my favourite albums, so I might just take his word and get this one soon enough.

Heart of the Sunrise is actually my favorite on here.

btw, the Yessongs-versions are so much better than the studio-stuff it's unbelievable.
