All of songs Ashes Of The Wake are super, my favourites on this album would definitly have to be Laid To Rest(Rips my face off as soon as it starts), Hourglass(Well produced, I like), The Faded Line(Nice and crunchy, love the structure and fast riffs in certain parts), and One Gun(I salute this Metal anthem). Any objections?

What is it with the first 4 songs? I'm a HUGE Lamb Of God fan but I don't think "Now You've Got Something To Die For" is anything spectacular. I hear though that the new "Sacrament" album may be something to die for though. Can't wait! This Message Edited On 05.18.06

I completely agree........there music is heavy and enchanting, but sometimes when the track is done and another begins it sounds the same as the first.

Excellent point Mudvaynian, and thats why I can't wait to hear the new album. The band members are really physed about it and they aren't telling us anything which is just what I want.

I changed my rating cause I have LoG a lot of listens with a broader mind, and I love the album. However, it gets pretty one-track, so I can only bring myself to give it a three.

Gotta love that drumming man.

Good Review! (Shadows, did you do every LoG review? :D)

I'm really starting to hate the people who come in and say that they dont' like the band simply because it's metal...or something similiar to that...

Anyway, I don't believe the guitars were repetitive at all...in fact none of the CD was...it was very diverse.

I still love their old stuff, when they were hardcore though. BTP and NAG. ATPB is ok, but not like their two previous albums, and this is even more....how should I say it....clean? It's too perfect of production. But Oh well, it's still Good, it's still skill and talent.

4/5

EDIT: ehehe, "Mudvayrian"...nice name? little obssessed, now are we? (btw, mudvayne is nu-metal, not metal >.>)This Message Edited On 06.05.06

k4t4lyst, you've been on this site for three days now. It probably isn't a good time to start picking fights with accomplished members of this site. And BTW, L.D. 50 kicks the shit out of anything Lamb of God has done. This Message Edited On 06.05.06

How are they real metal? They're nu-metal. They're soft.

Go listen to some Dimmu Borgir, Kataklysm, etc.

I'm entirely with Drunken Viking. K4t4lyst, do you think that you are in some way better than me because you listen to heavier music? I assure you that is not true. I like progressive and nu-metal. If you like death metal, whoop de fucking doo.

I've decided I can only listen to this song for the first 5-10 minutes before I can't take it anymore.

Good to listen to each song individually, but no way in hell am I ever listening to it in full.

I hope you realize I listen to everything from rap to death metal, so it's not about it's heavier. I like nu-metal too. Just cuz I said it isn't "real metal" doesn't mean it's not good. Nu-metal is just as good, it's just not "real metal" necassarily. Look at my profile, Nu-metal is a bigger part of the chart than death metal.
