My roots do not lie in warm weather and beaches, I lie in mountains and forests.

Then New England is the place for you, my brother.

I only have pieces of At The Heart Of Winter, wonder if this is better.

This so far is on par with that. I can honestly say that "Beyond The North Waves" is one of the finest Black Metal songs I have had the pleasure of listening to. The solo at the end is godly.

I just wanted to post that In my Kingdom Cold rules this album! That song is black metal gold!

Superb album, i like the overall powerful sounds on this album, dark enough for me and good production.

Obviously, their albums covers are very ugly (except for "At The Heart Of winter")

- One by One 4/5

- Within the Dark Mind 4/5

- In My Kingdom Cold 4/5

- Antarctica 5/5

- Beyond the North Waves 5/5

are my favorites

One of my favorite Immortal albums. The only thing to me that keeps this from a classic rating is that some of the songs could've been a little bit shorter. Not that i mind epic songs at all, but sometimes it just got boring.

Just a correction, Iscariah plays bass on this album. Saroth only toured with Immortal in 2002 or so.

Immortal have never released a bad album. The only one that isnt great like the others is Blizzard Beasts. I do prefer the earlier albums, but this is one of my favorites.

I enjoy all of Immortal's albums. Pure Holocaust is the best IMO.

I just lost every ounce of respect I had for you Wizard. Every ounce. Even that ounce made of butter.

Hahahahahaha sorry to disappoint Jacktiger7x. Opinions change over time. This album is just monotonous as hell; besides the last track on this album, its a monster.

I agree with you about the last track, but i completely disagree with you about the whole album. I dont think this is monotonous at all.

I've given it so many listens and I just don't feel it. Oh well, we can't all be the same.
