I've actually heard lots of people say the same thing about DOOM as an emcee but seems like they all have sticks up their ass' and never give it a chance

i couldnt really get into Doomsday, should probably give it another shot. tbh the production bored me. though that was over a year ago now

The thing about Doomsday is it was recorded a lot earlier than anything else the average MF DOOM fan listens to (which was basically all recorded in or around 2004 or more recently). He sounds a bit different and the production isn't much like what he would be doing in all of his other albums, but he was still dope as hell. Just listen to the way he samples Scooby Doo on hey, or his rhymes on Rhymes like Dimes, Gas drawls, Doomsday, or go with the flow

People hear albums like Food, Madvillainy, Mouse n mask, Take me to your leader, Vaudeville villain ect and think that spans his whole career. That was basically a year and a half lol
