well i was referring to like last summer but oh well
[quote]Just curious, did you happen to read that in a comment in an L.D. 50 tbt review?
Because I read that one right before I came here, and saw that.

Mike, you'd definitely enjoy it. Its like Arsis but much better with some of the most kickass drumming ever and brewtal vocals.

Also, Jon Levasseur kills that Malone guy on guitar.

I don't see much of a connection with Arsis, Cryptopsy is much more chaotic and br00tal.

And Malone is definitely better. Levasseur's solos are just all over the place and have little form, while Malone's are still nuts but have more taste to them.

Nah, Levasseur is better but you won't hear it on this album.

And they sound nothing like Arsis, they arent over produced, watered down or repetitive. This album is essential.

So many Arsis haters here... :upset:

This album is indeed essential to any death metal fan though.

You cannot compare Arsis and Cryptopsy in my opinion...

This album is one of those albums where I can listen to it over and over again. I happen to love Lord Worm's vocals...even though a lot of people dislike him for various reasons.

It's pretty common to come across this on the internet. I'm not sure about in a store or something. I think its pretty available.

I've seen it in FYE a bunch of times, even when I wasnt even searching for it.
I'm happy that this is starting to grow on me now. I really like the lyrics...interesting. Crazy drumming and I like the short bass solo in Slit Your Guts.

I actually did the exact same thing as you (came across the longest scream thing and then downloaded it, hated it, listened to it 4 months later and loved it), but I saw it in a Tool review where someone was describing the scream in The Grudge.
Excellent review.
