also bands like necrophagist need to learn about moderation, i know all the kids dig the constant sweeps and hyper compressed drums but to true rockers like me its just a bunch of old tat, those bands also have no bottom end either as they are always up the top of the fretboard like twats

I'd agree when it comes to Epitaph, but I always loved Onset because I thought the "wank" actually slipped into the compositions perfectly. It felt more necessary than flashy

Maybe it'll be like Symbolic - make him write a review and a month or two later his rating will go up.

Zombie Ritual was the first Death song I'd ever heard.

I was 14, had hair down to my belly button, and I was browsing MySpace for something heavier than Slayer.

I think I found Cryptopsy like right after this though along with Opeth, and I didn't revisit Death for another two years. Idk why either.

Infernal Death was my first DM song, found it on Map of Metal under death metal as the first track

depends on what exactly qualifies as dm. if opeth does, my first dm song was the leper affinity. if not, it was symbolic.

Oh, I just meant Death and not Death Metal in general.

If we're taking DM, I heard Cannibal Corpse first and I didn't dig it at all.

My old camp consoler was obsessed with 80s/90s Death Metal so I think I was around 12 when I first heard LHP
