I dunno, if you're already really into the base that emo sprung from, you may just want to follow Jared's little list thing on emo and start with stuff like Moss Icon and Indian Summer, as you'd get a better foundation before going into stuff like CTTS, which is pretty far from what you seem to like from the genre so far.
