Beautiful album, Clapton at his best. The guitar work flows smoothly and the rest of it is just flawless

Clapton's done much better things than this. This is prob his best solo album though.
|
| |
I like some of his solo stuff too but it's got nothing on what he did with Derek and the Dominos, Cream, John Mayall and Blind Faith.

"The Road to Escondido" is quite good from his more recent stuff. Generally though his solo work is good but not quite close to his older band stuff.

I agree with you JT but I love some of his solo stuff particularly the older solo stuff.

Derek and the Dominos was probably Clapton's greatest work IMO, but this and some of his other solo material is excellent. But I agree with Jamie as well, Cream, Derek, etc. is to prefer

I love Clapton's solo work. And I was only referring to out of his solo works to be honest, his other works are a lot stronger
|
| |
In that case I probably agree with you.

you know its true
cocaine is cocaine but the rest of the album is pretty lulz
surprisingly similar to the bad dire straits albums
|
| |
I just meant the fact that you called it cock instead of rock, lol

funny how from the cradle is prob his best solo album (if only because its actual blues and not retirement home lullabies) and it has no review
|
| |
Comparing this to dire straits is accurate. Cause they are both J.J. Cale wannabes.
