This album would be made so much better if it ended with the same melody that opens up The Blue Ghost/Shedding Qliphoth.

Why do you feel that way? I'm curious as to your opinion on the way that this album concludes.

I mean I was mostly joking, but I think it'd be a cool idea. It would be cliché as all hell, sure, but I think it'd be a better way to wrap the album up. I love both bath and leaving your body map, but the way that Monstrously Low Tide ends never sat well with me. It's a very good song on its own, and a magnificent track even in the context of what I consider to be two of the best albums ever recorded, but it also bears the unfortunate burden of being the final track to a massive double album.

Personally I don't know what the "best" way to wrap the album up would be, but I constantly feel that the end of this album is ultimately anticlimactic. It's still a near perfect beast, but it lacks something.

Okay so there's this book called The Catcher In The Rye and the main character starts out as kind of an asshole but by the time the ending comes around he's actually still kind of an asshole.

It's been a pretty long time since I read it. I don't remember much to be honest. But I know it had a pretty big impact on me in more ways than one thanks to the point of my life that I experienced it.

I think it's one of those books that really needs that context, because from what I remember of it, I would hate Holden to death throughout the entire story if I were to read it now.
