Absolutely incredible. This album (in the best way imaginable) puts me straight to sleep at night because it is so soothing and beautiful. Is any of their older stuff worth looking into?

Yes Talk Amongst The Trees and When I Live By The Garden and Sea EP are both fantastic.

Indoor Swimming At The Space Station is my favorite song from Eluvium, from any album or ep they have released

Question is the rest of his discography worth checking out? Might seem like a stupid question but if he's always had this sound and this is his opus is there any point?

This is his opus yes, but his other albums are all unique in their own way. They share some of the sounds, but the strings here are a first. His older stuff includes a bit more guitar, distortion, and random ambient noises. Check out the album under the name Matthew Robert Cooper called Miniatures. It's his next best imo, yet much different. Also, An Accidental Memory in the Case of Death is all piano work.

Saw him in concert last night, he is definitely one of the best ambient composers to date...i feel confident comparing him with Eno's ambient material, which I actually enjoyed less than MRC or Eluvium.

This is fucking awesome... Good gaming music for me since it has to be calm to help me focus.

This album really bored me, but it was occasionally pretty.
