The first album I went out and bought. £2.15 in 1973. That copy got so scratched that when I hear Quicksand now I can still imagine the jumps. I don't think he has ever bettered this album in terms of pure songwriting. It's as good as Dylan at his best 62-66; and better than anything by the Beatles (yes!). Oh, plus...that voice, that piano, and Ronson's guitar work. Genius.
