I feel like people listen to about 4 minutes of this and 1.5 it based on other people's comments. It's far from good but it's not terrible. What he's trying to do is clear and done competently.

I'll admit I didn't listen to all of this. (First two tracks, then last two). There's nothing of substance to interest me here. He did clearly have a vision for what this sounded like, and what it sounded like wasn't good imo.

And I'll give him credit for putting this together in prison

Check out Hlioskjalf. It's also a synth album he did in prison but it's way better

Havent listened to this in years, but the memory of this horrendous endeavour is still strong. Smh just a genuinely lame album in every sense.

A fine way of putting it.

tbh he could redo this with legit instruments and it would be better than the last couple Burzum albums
|

I'm afraid to listen to this era of Burzum. I've heard rumors about how devastating it is.
|
| |
And by "this era" I mean everything after Filosofem

Last two albums slay. Love his early work and I love his last few albums. It's everything in between that is hit and miss.

The prison albums have some analogue charm. His last two albums are the only ones that failed to get me in the burzumic mood at all.

I kinda dig this. I get why people don't like it... but I think most of the negativity is a overblown, too.
Moti Ragnarokum is an epic jam.

Ye, last track is pretty solid. Album is still pretty emotive overall, but it stays in the same places too much.
